women4women-knitting4peace
I got near the end of February and had not done my donation project for the month! I decided to make a hat since I could make it quickly. After that I couldn't stop. I made several others hats:
Then I decided to make some scarfs since knitting4peace needs those, too. I looked through their patterns and found Fun Scarf.
I used Red Heart Kids Multi. It is wildly colored, but this pattern gives such texture to the scarf. I had to go buy some more multi-colored yarn!
I'm now working on Checkerboard Scarf at Ancient Pathways.
Both of these are great auto-pilot patterns. Patterns are easy to memorize.
I'm now way ahead of my goal of 1 donation item per month!!!

Lots of Movement
Wow! I've been in my sewing room for the last 3 nights. That hasn't happened in ages. Feels so good to be sewing.
I'm knitting, too. He is my new Americana sock. The pattern is Hermione's Everyday sock.
Here's the Twinkle Twinkle Blanket for the new baby to BJ Thompson. It's a new pattern to me and was lots of fun.

Ideas Needed
Pat Sloan's UFO group are, I hope, going to give me some ideas about what to do with this quilt. This is one of the quilts I found that is near completion. It is a DIY round robin started around 3 years ago. The leader of the group gave use guidelines for each round. I don't know if I actually completed the quilt, so I'm looking for suggestions on finishing.
Here is the complete quilt and close ups.

Any positive, helpful ideas are appreciated.

UFO Challenge
Pat Sloan is leading her group in a UFO challenge. We are to make a list and share with the group. I have kept a list for along time. I use it to find what container a project is in. I decided to move everything out to my sewing room that was on the floor and put it in the living room so I could sort it all.
Then I moved my sewing machine and my cutting table. There is all kinds of open space, but now I have to find a place to put everything BACK IN the sewing room!
Then I decide to have someone come in and clean this weekend, so I basically moved everything back into the sewing room and now I can't walk through. I'm not taking a picture of that! lol
Oh well, after I get home from Hutto, I'll get it into some kind of order!
I did create a stack of quilts that just need backing and quilting or binding. There are 8 quilts in the stack. I'll be working on these all year!

Donation Scarf #1
I have a plan to make one hat or scarf each month for Women4Women-Knitting4Peace. I learned of this group the first summer we went to Chautauqua Institute. Susan McKee and her daughter are such wonderful people and have such a great organization.
Here's the 1st for the year:
